We're not one of those companies where the only person you can talk to is an account manager. Actually, we don't have account managers.
Learning has always been ‘about people’ - which is why at Transition, you can always talk to a practitioner.
Transition was established in 1996 by Miles Corbett and David Bowden, both learning professionals with over a decade's experience each.
Miles Corbett, managing director
Miles is responsible for front-line consulting, sales and planning on many of our e-learning projects. Before that he was responsible for training, consulting, oursourcing and support for a large UK reseller; as the director of training he was part of the team which acquired QA Training in 1995. Miles has spent over 30 years in IT in a variety of leadership roles, and he still enjoys seeing clients through the transition from the initial idea to the tangible outcomes of a hugely succesful project. Although Miles is our managing director, he still has to take his turn making the tea for everyone.
David Bowden, technical director
David is our technical director, which in practice means that he's responsible for anything with a plug on it. However, he spends most of his time working with clients to develop - or manage the development of - our e-learning programme and specialist software tools. Like Miles, David has also spent a great deal of time in the IT and learning industries prior to working at Transition. He has a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College, London.
